Arena's JOGA Team

The latest JOGA News:

  • Congratulations to Hillary Dunn who competed for the first time in her life as a JOGA Level 5 (second competitive level).  At Hillary's 2nd meet, she competed in the Robin Cone Memorial Classic and won 1st on Vault and Bars, 3rd on Beam, 4th on Floor and 1st All Around!  At her state meet, Hillary still placed 1st on Vault, 2nd on Bars and 8th All Around...Wow!'

  • Laura Carandang, a Level 3, just competed in the second meet of her season at Gymnastics Unlimited, where she placed 1st on Vault, 4th on Beam and Floor, and 4th All Around.  Laura's State meet will be the first weekend of May.  Good Luck!

About our JOGA Program:

Since 2000, Arena has offered a Jersey Optional Gymnastics Association (JOGA) Team experience for those who are interested in competing without the intense time demands of our USAG programs.  The team is coached by Wes Marutani and has won many awards, including:
  • Patty Dziekonska, 2008 JOGA B State AA Champion
  • Emily Wang, 2004 JOGA C State AA Champion
  • Carissa Macay, JOGA B State AA Champion
  • Kelly Cave, 2001 JOGA B State AA Champion
  • Mellory S, 2000 JOGA C State AA Champion
  • Samantha B, 2000 JOGA C State AA Champion
